What Have You Sown this Summer?

Deep peace of the dark HARVEST moon to you

Tarot practice for gratitude on the new Harvest moon

You are Enough

I love that each season invites us to pause and reflect in different ways. And as we approach the harvest season, it’s a great opportunity to reflect on what we’ve sown (spoiler alert, there is something, even if it takes some reflection to realize what it is). But I also want to add: it doesn’t have to be something big, earth shattering, or world-crisis-solving.

The more of you that you’re putting into the world, the better off we all are. But if your inner critic is being loud, making that hard to believe, and if you’d like some support telling her to shut the hell up, I’m here for you. And I hope you’ll reach out, because I think you’re pretty great, just the way you are.

AUGUST 23, 2025

What Have You Sown?

August’s sturgeon moon has set. And with it, the mighty sturgeon have descended back into deep water to feed, grow, and procreate until next summer, when they will rise to the surface again. Tonight we pause to reflect on the coming harvest season and the rising of the harvest moon. Whether we have paid attention and done so mindfully, or even if we haven’t, we have all been sowing something - or somethings - over this past season. That could be in our work, our relationships, our creative pursuits, our emotional internal work, our spirituality. It could be a literal garden we’ve been cultivating.

Whatever it is and however we have tended to it, we have a harvest to honor and to be grateful for. If you need a little support in identifying what that is, that’s what our New Harvest Moon practice is all about.

Tarot for the Harvest Moon

Whether you’re new to tarot or a seasoned reader, this spread is for you. Watch this video tutorial and then scroll down for some reflection questions and resources.

Reflect

  • What stands out to you in the cards you drew? Did anything surprise you? Disappoint you? Confuse you?

  • Who in your life has been with you as you’ve sown, nurtured, and cultivated in this past season? Will you share some of your reflections with them?

  • Is there any support or connection you want to foster with others moving forward? Are you willing to risk asking for it?

  • What ripples of impact have you had on the people around you? How does it feel to take credit for the good you’re putting out into the world?

More Tarot

Here are some of my favorite tarot resources:

  • The Contemporary Tarot YouTube channel has really helpful (but brief!) breakdowns of every card to help you interpret your readings.

  • The Labyrinthos app allows you to draw cards virtually if you don’t have access to a physical deck.

  • Little Red Tarot has courses and products, but they also have a robust blog featuring different decks and a library of resources available for free on their website.

Join Me

Join me and others from the Wild Maven community to do this practice together on Saturday, August 23 at 7pm at The Space Within. We’ll pull tarot cards, reflect, and share. I hope to see you there!
